The June 2025 Fifth District Survey of Service Sector Activity indicated an upward trend, as the revenues index rose to -4, marking its highest level in three months, up from -11 in May. Notably, the indexes for future revenues and demand saw significant increases, climbing to 20 and 13, respectively. The index measuring local business conditions slightly improved, moving from -18 in May to -16 in June. Although still in negative territory, the future local business conditions index showed enhancement from -18 to -11 in June. The current employment index advanced from 0 to 3 in June, with the forward-looking index increasing from 11 to 14. The wages index decreased slightly to 19, yet firms anticipated they would continue to raise wages over the coming six months. The average growth rates for both prices paid and prices received experienced a minor uptick in June. Looking ahead, firms expected price growth to remain relatively stable over the next 12 months.
